ARITECH, has joined SPAC® Alliance.
"SPAC Alliance will enable us to exchange ideas and work with major players in the industry, both manufacturers and contractors, in order to participate in the standardization of the security market in Europe and comply with the requirements of the Regulatory Framework and its evolution in terms of cybersecurity. "
Philippe OBRADOR,
General Manager, Carrier Fire & Security France.
Can you introduce your Activity?
Philippe Obrador:
Carrier Fire & Security is one of the world leaders in electronic security: with its iconic Aritech brand, which this year celebrates 50 years of existence and constant innovation, we offer products and integrated solutions for intruder alarms, video surveillance and access control, with supervision software.
In 2023, the group posted sales of $22.1 billion, including $3.6 billion for Fire & Security.
Aritech has a strong presence in the European market. Founded in the Netherlands, Aritech is a leader in intruder alarms for professionals on the French market: our presence in France is based in particular on our 6 Pro Express sales, demonstration and technical training centers, which welcome installers and integrators every day. This position in intruder alarms is reinforced and complemented by a number of strong development axes, such as the integration of solutions primarily in the field of access control, their use in the cloud, the cybersecurity aspect, etc...
What challenges do you face in terms of security?
Philippe Obrador:
We're accelerating our response to the need for value-added services, particularly in the cloud, with ever-greater integration of our different "businesses", as well as controlled interoperability in line with the fundamentals of cybersecurity.
Why did you join the SPAC® Alliance and its ecosystem?
Philippe Obrador:
SPAC Alliance will enable us to exchange ideas and work with major players in the industry, both manufacturers and contractors, in order to participate in the standardization of the security market in Europe and comply with the requirements of the Regulatory Framework and its evolution in terms of cybersecurity.
As a global player with a strong local presence, Carrier Fire & Security respects sovereignty issues in every region of the world: this approach is of the utmost importance in Europe, given that our products and solutions are largely developed on the continent.
What benefits can the SSCP® protocol bring to the security market?
Philippe Obrador:
It will be a guarantee of security for clients, as well as a standard that can be used in all European countries. From our point of view, its scalability and interoperability will enable us to remain at the forefront of issues linked to the risk of security breaches within an organization or company, and to offer this advantage to all our customers, whether they operate solely in France or in the various countries within Europe. Opening up the SSCP® protocol, particularly to ecosystems other than access control, will give us the opportunity to offer the highest levels of security, and above all a consistent level of security across all our solutions.
The importance of certifications (and/or standardization) in the security market?
Philippe Obrador:
Certifications are of major importance to Carrier Fire & Security, to guarantee its products and solutions to customers.
In the intruder alarm business, Carrier Fire & Security has historically been one of the largest manufacturers, if not the largest, to be NFA2P certified by CNPP.
