Multi-level Cybersecurity
-
Physical Security: Ensures the physical protection of security-sensitive components, such as call terminals located at access points and connected to the network. Measures employed include Commend’s IP Secure connectors, which cut off the network connection if the device is tampered with to prevent hacking attempts.
-
Network Security: Ensures the security of network connections for on-site components, as well as web-based services and cloud services. Controlled access to network infrastructures goes hand in hand with data security measures (such as end-to-end encryption) in accordance with proven standards. In line with this commitment, Commend has also implemented an Information Security Management System (ISMS) compliant with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard to ensure the security of all company data as well as customer and supplier information.
From a product perspective, Commend has obtained IEC62443-4-1 certification, which guarantees clients the systematic and responsible management of risks at all levels through regular and standardized penetration tests.

Our production plant in Salzburg and our position as a global leader allow us to contribute significantly to the European ecosystem, ensuring top-tier security communication solutions that meet the highest standards and address the needs of our customers and partners in Europe and beyond.
What benefits can the SSCP® protocol bring to the security market? And to you?
David Saillant:
The integration of the SSCP® protocol into intercom systems offers benefits in terms of security, interoperability, reliability, scalability, and compliance with standards. By adopting this protocol for intercom systems, it ensures secure and efficient communications while ensuring seamless integration with other security systems.
The importance of certifications (and/or standardization) in the security market?
David Saillant:
Certifications such as ISO27001 and IEC62443-4-1 are much more than just a compliance label. They are a guarantee of trust and credibility in the security market. They allow differentiation from competitors, gain the trust of customers and partners, and open up opportunities in international markets. By investing in these certifications, we ensure organizations a recognition and quality assurance that are essential for our clients, especially those operating sensitive sites concerned with NIS-2.
